At all times I will link to the original source data. The point of this entry is to cut through the noise and focus on actions and facts.
Russia if you’re listening...
Interferring in America’s electoral process and system reflects what a bad global actor you really are.
We, the VAST majority of Educated Americans know you did it.
We, the American people know WHY you did it.
FACT: Trump does not believe our Intelligence Community, he had aided and sided with Putin time and time again.
FACT: on July 3, 2018 the Senate Intelligence Committee quietly Published a 7 page Report regarding the 2016 Presidential Election, which reads in part:
The Committee has concluded an in-depth review of the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) produced by CIA, NSA, and FBI in January of 2017 on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election (Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent U.S. Elections; declassified version released January 6, 2017) and have initial findings to share with the American people.
On page 2 of the Senate Intelligence Report I found this particularly interesting and noteworthy:
This escalation was made possible by cyber-espionage and cyber-driven covert influence operations, conducted as part of a broader "active measures" campaign that included overt messaging through Russian-controlled propaganda platforms. The ICA revealed key elements of a comprehensive and multifaceted Russian campaign against the United States as it was understood by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the end of 2016.
On page 4 the Senate Intelligence Committee does not mince words. In fact the following passage is crystal clear:
We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the U.S . presidential..We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump (emphasis added)

I feared that all hope was lost, until the Senate Intel issued today’s report
Immediately provided me the sustenance, I and many others so greatly needed.

Sidebar, what’s notable about the 7 page Senate Intelligence Report is at the same time 8 GOP Congressional Members we’re yucking it up in Moscow and later at the Duma:
Dear @GOP @HouseGOP @SenateGOP— SpicyFiles (@SpicyFiles) July 3, 2018
WHY ON THE FOURTH of JULY?
No really do you NOT see the optics and how terrible this looks?
Also I have MANY questions about the FEC Reports on 6 out of 7 in the Delegation
So many questions@realDonaldTrump traitor-tothttps://t.co/do7NSe4UxC
The Republican contrived House of Representatives not only is aiding and abetting Russia/Trump by all appearances they are gleefully bend over backwards to essentially hand over the “keys” of America’s Free & Open elections to Vladimir Putin.
H.R.634 - Election Assistance Commission Termination Act
This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to terminate the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), including the EAC Standards Board and the EAC Board of Advisors. The Office of Management and Budget must perform EAC functions with respect to existing contracts and agreements and must wind up EAC affairs.
This bill transfers specified election administration functions of the EAC to the Federal Election Commission.
This bill terminates the Technical Guidelines Development Committee.
That same month the House Democrats wrote a scathing point by counterpoint letter to the Republicans.
The Republican controlled House of Representatives late last week then decide to once again hand Vladimir Putin/Donald Trump a gilded gift on a silver platter. Representative Mike Quigley offered a reasonable amendment. Given the Republicans actually ZEROD Out the $320Million set aside to help each State secure their elections. See Rep Quigely’s Press Release found here.
amendment to restore $380 million in election security grants for FY19.
As Ranking Member of the Financial Services & General Government (FSGG) Appropriations Subcommittee, Rep. Quigley introduced an amendment to reverse Republicans’ election security cuts, which zeroed out the $380 million in EAC funding that Rep. Quigley secured for FY18. Unfortunately, Republicans on the Rules Committee voted to block that amendment. Today’s MTR forced a vote on the amendment, which Republicans rejected on a party-line vote.
“Now is the time to double down on our efforts to prevent election hacking,” Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) declared ahead of the vote. “The American people are watching, and we must ensure that we — unlike our president — are on the right side of history at this pivotal moment in our democracy.”
In FACT watch Rep Quigley’s remarks. Watch the WHOLE video:
The Russians Attacked our Democracy
Remember how I keep saying: THANK GOD FOR STATE ATTORNEYS General? On July 23rd a large coalition of AGs wrote to the House and Senate citing various concerns and inadequacies of Congress refusing to fund states to help them secure their election system. Their Letter reads in part:
...vulnerable election infrastructures and the existence of a malicious foreign actor eager to exploit these vulnerabilities. Moreover, it has never been more important to maintain confidence in our democratic voting process. It is imperative that we protect the integrity of our elections. We must ensure that the upcoming 2018 midterm elections are secure and untainted. Accordingly, we ask for your assistance in shoring up our systems so that we may protect our elections from foreign attacks and interference...
Election Assistance Commission to support election security improvements at the state level and to protect the personal data of the voters of our states. We are concerned that many states lack the resources and tools they need to protect the polls. Additional funding for voting infrastructure will not only allow states to upgrade election systems, but will also allow for a comprehensive security risk assessment.
So spare me the Trump is holding a cabinet level meeting today to discuss Russia’s ongoing cyberattacks on America
Pretty BFD, just saying...— SpicyFiles (@SpicyFiles) July 26, 2018
Also Fun FACT..in 2016 the @DNC approached the @GOP to broker a deal that neither party would used hacked/stolen data.
The GOP told the Dems to “go pound sand” never forget that overlooked factoid. Needles that DROP
Katie girl you’re in big trouble https://t.co/uOvRkAEA1y
I mean come ON, do you really believe that Trump has a cyber-security plan? Because I certainly do not.
Fmr Amb Nuland offered a 5 point plan.— SpicyFiles (@SpicyFiles) June 20, 2018
Again tell me ONE thing @realDonaldTrump has done to counter Russian Active Measures.
he’s done NOTHING.
Trump uses Russian Active Measures on us EVERY FORKING DAY.
HE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE RUSSIA HELPED HIMhttps://t.co/pB0uqYFVCZ pic.twitter.com/sutgbA2pDv
Although in the spirit of fairness the Trump Administration has “talked” a big game yet their actions or lack thereof speak volumes. See May 2018 joint Commerce & Homeland Security “Report”...literally 51 Pages of words, small words, big words, words that sound serious, but the reality is the Trump Administration has minimal execution of said cyber-defense plan.
“Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure.” That order called for “resilience against botnets and other automated, distributed threats,” directing the Secretary of Commerce, together with the Secretary of Homeland Security, to “lead an open and transparent process to identify and promote action by appropriate stakeholders” with the goal of “dramatically reducing threats perpetrated by automated and distributed attacks (e.g., botnets).”
So take today’s Cabinet Level Meeting, (keep in mind we are <102 days from the actual mid-term election) with a massive grain of salt, because today Irnoy took her last breath and said: screw it, I’m out.
